Sage One surge in 2013-2014

In the Sage Group plc unaudited results for the six months ended 31 March 2014 press release to the City of London on 8th May 2014, it was revealed that the company had enjoyed continued success and growth with subscription a key driver.

As someone who has been working in the Sage One UK & Ireland marketing team for Sage since November 2012 it was particularly pleasing to read this line:

‘Strong market position established in the UK & Ireland with Sage One, our cloud solution for smaller businesses, where paying subscriptions in that market have almost trebled to 33,000 over the last 12 months.’

…and to see this slide in the live webinar featuring Sage CEO Guy Berruyer and CFO Steve Hare:

I think this is what’s known in the tech world as ‘hockey stick growth’ which is something that all tech start-ups aspire to and is pleasing to see as I like to think of the Sage One team as being like a start-up within a corporate.

However, there’s still lots to play for so onwards and upwards for the remainder of 2014 and beyond. Game on!
